Best Of Both Worlds

From Victorian elegance to the latest in contemporary design, these are the choices on offer from A and D Pink, Funeral Directors and Monumental Sculptors of Caterham and South Croydon. The family business, established for 25 years, has for some time offered a traditional horse drawn mourning carriage as part of its client-focussed funeral services. However, when Adrian and Diane Pink decided to renew their automotive funeral fleet they had little no doubts about going to the other end of the scale and buying a fleet of top class vehicles from Binz.

The hearse had to be the sleek, iF Design award winning Binz four-door hearse with its full safety features, optical glass viewing windows and silent rise and fall deck. This was accompanied by a Binz E-class Mercedes Benz six-door limousine finished to market leading specification with all-electric windows, adjustable centre seating and remapped engine and chassis management control units.

When asked, "why Binz", Diane Pink replied, "It was quite simple, we wanted the best and it had to be Binz.

"We believe in providing bereaved families with a degree of care that is the best we can possibly achieve. Our premises are finished to the highest standards, we use the best caskets, the best local florists - everything has to be up to delivering the quality of service we expect of ourselves, so when it came to renewing the funeral fleet Binz was our only choice.

"We had dealt with Peter and Roberta Smith in the past when we operated a Volvo fleet and they were very friendly and helpful. We like dealing with family businesses, our carriage master is a family business as are our florists and our casket suppliers. We find that family concerns such as Binz have the same aims and ideals as ourselves and know how to look after their clients from the outset."

Peter Smith commented, "We have developed a relationship with Adrian and Diane Pink over several years and we are delighted to have been their first and only choice when it came to replacing their previous fleet.
