Binz Offers Continuity

Like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo until recently followed a path of evolution over revolution in body styling. Giving funeral directors here the chance of upgrading fleets as and when they need to, without losing that all-important corporate identity.

A policy that has certainly found favour with Hatch End located family funeral director, Hearnden and Daughters, which has been running an original Nilsson based Volvo  fleet since the 1990s.

All their vehicles have been supplied by Binz UK, with the latest arrival being a Volvo 960 five-door hearse, purchased to match Hearnden's 960 six-door limousine. Both are Nilsson factory approved models built with heavy-duty suspension as standard. Whilst perhaps no longer current production models, the firm's owner, Suzanne Hearnden still regularly gets approving comments from mourners about the cars: "People always say when they get into the limousine, 'Isn't this comfortable; isn't this nice' ".

Regular service and spare parts support also have their roles to play in maximising the value that Hearnden & Daughter's are getting from their investment.  Suzanne Hearnden has nothing but praise for the way that as the only UK full-parts stockist for the Nilsson marque, Binz UK will do its utmost to keep the wheels rolling: "The gas springs on our previous 740 hearse did fail, but Binz came to the rescue and turned the whole job around in 12 hours". 

It all vindicates the original decision made by Graham Hearnden, the paternal director of the firm to choose Binz UK, alongside the integrity of the products it offered in the first place: "Family businesses tend to go that extra mile to satisfy their clients. We take care of our vehicles, and if you look at our old hearse, it is immaculate - but you do have to have the right quality to start with".

Kevin Smith, Sales Director at Binz added, "When Nilsson stopped making the Volvo vehicles we felt that we owed it to our past clients to support them as well as we always had for as long as they operated the vehicles which we sold to them. That service has been extended to anyone who operates a Nilsson vehicle, and continues as our key policy with our Binz Mercedes-Benz clients today.
