New To You - E.C. Thomas Step Up To Binz

E.C Thomas and Sons, funeral directors in Narberth and Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire recently stepped up their service to offer a Binz hearse.

Elizabeth Treharne, the business manager at E.C. Thomas and Sons, said, "We had been impressed by the styling of the Binz hearse for some time. We had seen them at the National Funeral Exhibition and had visited the Reading showroom in the past, so when we needed to replace our Vauxhall hearse we decided to try for a Binz.

"Kevin Smith has always welcomed us and always had time for us, even though we are only a small rural operation. So, this time when we visited Reading Kevin showed us some outstanding pre-owned examples, all of which were presented to the highest standards. We gave Kevin our specifications and he found a hearse that suited us exactly. So when we saw the vehicle we just had to say, Yes!"

Although only a few weeks in service with E.C. Thomas and Sons, the new hearse has already attracted a great deal of positive comment from clients and families.

Stewart and Elizabeth Treharne took over the Pembroke Dock-based business some nine years ago, although Graham Thomas, son of the founder, still works for the firm, which has now expanded to include the Narberth and Saundersfoot areas. In the nine years two Vauxhall hearses have been the mainstay of the fleet but Elizabeth Treharne says that she and Stewart felt that it was now time for change and to offer families the added quality that Binz vehicles present. The next step is to add to the fleet with a matching Binz limousine.

Kevin Smith, Sales Director at Binz UK Ltd, added, "Every client is equally important to us at Binz. We look after those who buy a pre-owned vehicle from us in exactly the same way as we do those buying a new vehicle. Of course the used market is much more complex as we need to ensure that the vehicles meet our own high standards in terms of service history, maintenance, mileage and general condition. We would never allow a new vehicle to leave the premises with a known fault, and the same policy applies to our late model pre-owned vehicles.
