Binz From E to V at the NFE

From morning to noon and on to closing time at night, people on the Binz UK stand were kept busy talking showgoers through the various features of its various Mercedes-Benz based models. Though an example of the latest E-Class was prominently displayed, it was the Vito private ambulance that drew the crowds.

"A lot of thought has gone into the design of this vehicle, and now that it has proven itself in front line service with a number of funeral directors, people were coming to see what all the buzz was about", said Binz UK sales director Kevin Smith.

"Some took the opportunity to compare the way we engineered our hydraulically-operated rise and fall deck with those of other manufacturers at the NFE, but for most the big attraction was the Binz Vito's sheer versatility. It is not just a private ambulance, but a vehicle that can be fitted out to a high enough specification to double as a flower hearse - should a funeral home need it to"

The brand new E-Class saloon on the Binz stand, making its debut at Stoneleigh hot on the heels of the 'official' Mercedes-Benz public launch the day before, provided a 'teaser' as to things to come from the company. Indeed, many of this car's technical and safety features are already incorporated into the current generation of Binz hearses and limousines.

"We have already supplied a fair number of standard Mercedes-Benz vehicles to our customers when asked, and since our workshops are already fully-equipped with the required Mercedes special tools which includes the mandatory STAR Diagnostics system, and our technicians are all fully Mercedes-Benz trained, we can offer a funeral home the same level of service support as they would receive from a Mercedes-Benz dealership", added Kevin Smith.
