Date: 26.06.06 embargo: immediate Economics of Buying Binz 'Felt Right' for Folland Roy Folland of Haverford West, South Wales has a very economic approach to his funeral fleet. Instead of tying up funds in limousines he has an agreement with a local franchised dealer to access cars when he needs them. However, the one thing even the best of dealers cannot supply on demand is a hearse. Roy bought his previous hearse, a Omega-based vehicle six years ago for £56,000 and it served him well. However, as time passed it started to show its age, and the firm's accountant advised that it might well be time to replace the Omega with a newer model. The Mercedes platform had attracted Roy Folland's attention over the years but having inspected a couple of conversions Roy was very wary of buying something that was, to his mind, short on standards. However, when he met with Kevin Smith at Binz and he viewed the Binz Hearse things just dropped into place from the first meeting. "I felt that I was treated very well by the Binz team and they matched the service that I get from my local car supplier. Things just felt right". Said Roy Folland. "I had expected to have to wait for 6 months whilst the car was built, as I would have to with other firms, but Binz could supply the car from stock, ready to operate. "Some people have questioned the price, but the quality of the vehicle is beyond compare, and relative to what was paid for the Omega 6 years ago, it isn't out of the frame in real terms anyway. I didn't just buy on a whim. The economics of the Binz against any of the competition weigh up and I'd say that there is no reason why anyone looking for a new fleet shouldn't consider looking at Binz. If I had to buy a limousine I have no doubt that I would opt for a matching Binz.
