PRESS INFORMATION FROM BINZ (UK) LTD. Binz at Irish Funeral Trade Exhibition 27 - 28 September '06, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Eire With a history of service to the funeral sector dating back to the late 1980s, limousine and hearse coachbuilder Binz has always had a finger on the pulse of the profession. Something that helps explain the arrival early this year of its two seat Mercedes-Benz E-Class hearse, which delegates to the show will be able to inspect at their leisure on the company's stand. This will make an interesting comparison next to its bigger, extended-wheelbase 5 door sister, whose ability to carry a full crew allows operators to dispense with a following vehicle when a minister needs to ride with the deceased. Both hearses feature the Binz hallmarks of design excellence: unobstructed optically clear curved glass sides that show floral tributes to best advantage, and to make shouldering the coffin easier and as dignified as possible: a slide out bier equipping the two seat model, with the full-length version coming with a unique-to-Binz silent rise and casket deck. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see an example of the company's matching 6 door limousine as well. Like all Binz models, this has full Mercedes-Benz engineering approval, and is unique in having been subjected to a side impact crash test.
