Bier and Stops from Binz

Helping to make the loss of a small child more bearable, is a time when the funeral director can make a real difference. For these more intimate occasions, Binz now offer a baby bier for its E-Class limousines that gives immediate family the option of travelling with the child. The introduction of the baby bier is complemented by a new range of coffin stops, which will also fit conventional full-sized hearse decks.

Designed to fit in place of the standard Mercedes-Benz E-Class headrests, and supplied with an integral pall that covers its mounting brackets, the bier raises the casket to window height, and fits over the middle row of seats of a six door limousine. The casket proper lies across the car, and is positively located by four stops for travel. Once the committal has taken place, the bier can be easily removed and stowed unobtrusively within the boot for the family's journey back from graveside or crematorium.

Though intended for Binz's own extended E-Class, the baby bier should fit other manufacturers' Mercedes-Benz based vehicles using the same headrest spacing.

Turning to what perhaps must rank as one of the most abused items of a hearse's equipment - coffin stops - Binz now offers a range of these in both conventional round pin and also hexagonal pin fittings. The adjustable versions have easy-to-use milled screw-down knobs, with double guide pins to prevent jamming and premature wear. All these stops can be had with two different depths of pin to suit the different varieties of deck in use, and have rubber pads to eliminate any chance of marking the casket.

By comparison to the elegant chrome finish provided for the hearse specification stops, a rugged 'no-nonsense' version in zinc-plate can also be had for removal vehicle use. Both are manufactured from high quality materials, supported by the Binz trademark of excellence.
