Mega Welcome at Hospitality Show

Micro van manufacturer Mega supported specialist coachbuilder Towability at the Hospitality Show at the NEC, Birmingham. 

Vehicles exhibited were a pair of Mega conversions; a mobile coffee bar and a hot food delivery van; based on the Mega chassis-cab and offering two very different mobile delivery solutions. A Mega Diesel Van with optional side loading door was also displayed. 

The mobile coffee bar is equipped with a cappuccino/espresso coffee maker and is capable of making fresh coffee to order. The unit comes with its own water and gas supply and can also be fitted with a generator. Fold out side and rear panels give a sheltered serving area and the compact dimensions of the unit mean that it can access almost any suitable area. The example on show at the NEC represented a package on offer to the "Wheely Good Coffee Co". The Mega conversion is ideal for a wide range of specialist applications.

The Hot Shot conversion offers a solution to delivering hot meals to remote food counters or dispensing points. Once more the unit comes with its own power supply and a side opening door accesses a shelved hot cupboard capable of keeping food hot and ready to serve however long the distance from kitchen to counter. The Hot Shot is an ideal solution for "meals-on-wheels" type operations. 

Peter Leivers, General Manager of Aixam Mega was delighted with the response to the Mega at the show. "The show has proved to be a resounding success with levels of enquiries/orders surpassing our expectations." 

This was matched by the comment of Rodney Binley, Managing Director of Towability who added, "We received good leads from large organisations which I am sure will result in a very full order book"
