PRESS INFORMATION FROM AIXAM MEGA Mega Joins Anti-Terror Campaign An unlikely tool in the war against terror is the diminutive Mega van. However, the Police National CBRN (Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear) Training Centre outside Salisbury recently took delivery of a Mega diesel van for use at its training headquarters. John Bradley, Hampshire Police's Fleet Manager said, "When we were asked to find an environmentally friendly, economical light utility vehicle for use at the CBRN Training Centre the Mega seemed right for the task. "It met with approval by police drivers and its low weight and size enable it to manoeuvre in tight spaces; a must for working around the base. With its polycarbonate body and simple to service mechanical components the vehicle's longevity seems assured. At this stage it is too early to be certain, but the Mega's long term running costs should be low compared to many other vehicles." Storeman, Sandy Small is in charge of the Mega and says, "The Mega has been a great boost to our operations here. It simplifies deliveries around the base and it can access buildings along footpaths and across grassed areas without causing any damage. I can deliver almost anywhere with the Mega. It is cheap, reliable and very efficient. I wouldn't be without it now." Peter Leivers, General Manager of Aixam Mega said, "We are delighted to be given the opportunity to provide a Mega diesel van to such a high profile client. This is exactly the type of working environment that the Mega is designed for and we will be monitoring the Mega's progress with the Police to ensure that our clients receive full after sales service care." The Mega was supplied by Hayball Motorcycles in Salisbury, local distributors for Rugby-based Aixam Mega.
